11,000 American flags on the grounds of the Louisiana State Capitol. The Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana plant the flags every Memorial Day to remember the Louisiana soldiers who have died in war.  This year's photograph was taken from the steps of the Capitol looking at the memorial and down Fourth Street.
