Mississippi River Rising

I head out to the Baton Rouge or Port Allen side of the Mississippi River every year sometime between January and March to get a few pictures of the Mississippi River near peak levels. This year was the Port Allen side when the river was at 42.5 feet. The normal water level for most of the year allows you to walk into that tree line fairly close to the barge in the second picture.
