I spent two days at Toledo Bend exploring the South Toledo Bend State Park, Rock Island, and the Louisiana Islands.  Shooting from sunrise to sunset, then still going until the stars came out, I captured a nice selection of shots from the area.  The last five shots in this series - all of them with stars visible - were taken from the area managed by Louisiana State Parks.

A prominent new feature in the Downtown Baton Rouge landscape, the Florida Street Riverfront Access Point has been completed and is already in use.  New signage, stairways, and lighting on River Road at Florida Blvd makes the riverwalk easy to access and makes the area more attractive.  Construction was done by the Department of Public Works with planning and input from the Downtown Development District, Suzanne Turner Associates, and WHLC Architecture.

Crescent Park in New Orleans is a great public use space on the Mississippi River with paved pedestrian and bicycle paths and access to excellent views of the city skyline from Piety Wharf.  This is only the first phase of the park as designed by architects Eskew+Dumez+Ripple, and it will eventually extend for several more miles.

Monday, October 13, 2014 was the Louisiana Legacy Golf Benefit for Junior Achievement of Greater Baton Rouge & Acadiana.  Teams from all over the Baton Rouge area played a 9 hole course at the Country Club of Louisiana and participated in an auction after the event with proceeds benefitting Junior Achievement.  I went along for the ride and got some shots of the players and the beautiful golf course at the Country Club.  You can see all the pictures from this event at http://www.msbphoto.com/junior-achievement/louisianalegacy2014 or watch a full screen slideshow.

The Live After Five concert series is an annual event put on every fall by the Downtown Business Association.  The concerts take place in North Boulevard Town Square.  Flow Tribe performed on September 19, 2014.

AST Engineers is a mechanical and electrical engineering firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  They have been involved in some of the biggest projects in Baton Rouge, and their work keeps many of Baton Rouge's most recognizable buildings running smoothly all day and looking good all night.  Their website was overdue for a redesign and they needed a fresh portfolio to show off their work.

Through a combination of commissioning new photography and licensing images from my Baton Rouge collection, AST Engineers was able to show off a quality portfolio of some of their bigger projects.  I handled all of their photography needs and Catapult Creative Media handled the website redesign.
