Gouter Restaurant hosted the Dinner & A Movie event with local cuisine by Chef Chris Wadsworth and the premier screening of the film Pech River Boys: Tales From Afghanistan. Proceeds from this event were donated to the We Defy Foundation. Visitors were also able to preview the restaurant before the grand opening.

The Mississippi River rises to 43 feet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on January 16, 2016. This is 8 feet above flood stage, but still 2 feet below the recent high in May 2011 and 4 feet under the record set in 1927.

Congratulations to Eskew+Dumez+Ripple for having two winning projects in the Faith & Form 2015 International Awards Program for Religious Art & Architecture.  Of the winning entries, three were in New Orleans and two were designed by Eskew+Dumez+Ripple. The chapel in the New Orleans East Hospital pictured here is one of the projects I worked on with them last summer.

The fourth floor green terrace between the IBM Service Center and the 525 Lafayette residential tower was designed by McKnight Landscape Architects. The terrace consists of an event space with room for a canopy tent, a dining space that can accommodate tables and chairs, and a personal space where visitors can sit and enjoy the landscaping. One end of the terrace has a view overlooking the Mississippi River and the other end looks over Lafayette Street.  You can view more photos in the project gallery.
